FRIDAY NIGHT CRUISE and EATS, OCTOBER 6th We encourage everyone to join in our 40th Reunion Friday Night Cruise. Think of it as a warm up to Saturday night's big party. This time the cruise will be by Tour Bus so no need to drive, just kick back, relax and get reacquainted with old school friends. Steve Weber's Magic Cruise Bus will pick us up at 2 locations, the Sheraton Hotel and the the Church of the Chimes. We will then cruise over to the Vintage Car Show at Bob's Big Boy Toluca Lake. Those cars bring back so many wonderful memories from our high school dayz. After the viewing, we'll have a fabulous dinner and drinks at Mo's Restaurant (across the street from Bob's), pick up a shake or sundae at Bob's and hop on the bus for a memorable cruise of Ventura and Van Nuys Boulevards This will be a zany trip past old hangouts or where they used to be and a groovy way to say first hellos to Kids you haven't seen in a long while. . Schedule: 6:00pm Bus pickup at the Church of the Chimes, ...........Magnolia Blvd. and Hazeltine Ave. Parking is free. 6:30pm Bus pickup time at the Sheraton Hotel, ........... fee to park, please be ready out front. 6:50pm Bob's Vintage Car Viewing 7:30pm Mo's Restaurant (poor parking so please park at the bus pickups) ........... 4301 W. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8th BRUNCH AND TOUR AT VAN NUYS HIGH This Will Be a Real Memory Blast to Hang Out Together at Our Old Alma Matar To Thee Thy Dear High School We Sing Dum De Dum... The School Brunch and Tour is the mellow wind down to our Reunion Weekend. Our School Picnic at the last reunion was a real trip! With tour guide, Athletic Coordinator Terry Stoller, who is also the Alumni Association President and a VNHS '76 graduate, we will get to see inside the buildings where are our minds were formed. If architecture has anything to do with how the brain functions, then there must be something in the design of the original campus that produced such wonderful folks as all of us. So look out for flashbacks into the past, therapy sessions not included. Sunday Brunch at Van Nuys High Cafeteria: includes coffee cake, fresh fruit, assorted juices, coffee and tea and the original cinnamon rolls that kept us awake till lunch, 40 years ago. Time: 10:30 - 12 noon Cost: $5 per person Parking: Please park in the Kittridge school lot... it is located where our Senior lawn was situated or also behind new Cafeteria by boys Gym. If you are going to the Brunch and Tour...again it is very important to have an accurate number, so please !!!! SATURDAY DAY TIME (of the reunion) OCTOBER 7th Saturday will be a loosely structured get together for Universal City Activities... City Walk, Universal Studios Tour, and Reunion Decorating. This will be a good oppurtuinty to have a real vacation while also enjoying the reunion. Especially if you brought the spouse or significant other along to the reunion. This will be a fun way way to get more into the Reunion weekend and reconnect with old school pals. City Walk has 65 different things to do and is only a tram ride from the Hotel.
